Happiness at Home Health Care are pleased to offer our home care services for the city of Richmond. We provide in home care to seniors throughout the city, allowing our clients to enjoy the sanctity of home which ensuring their health is in good hands. Our home care services are specifically tailored to the needs of each individual on a one-to-one basis.

Our patients and family are taught to participate in their healthcare to not only get well, but to stay healthy. As no one wants to be dependent and helpless, we offer the assistance seniors need so they can continue as viable members of society.

Minoru Place Activity Centre (MPAC) offers an inviting environment for adults 55 years and older to enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle. A vast range of activities and programs including registered programs, out trips, special events, health and wellness clinics and support groups are offered for all levels of ability.

Steveston Community Centre, the Steveston Outdoor Pool and the Steveston Public Library share the same facility.

Facilities include the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre, the Steveston Martial Arts Building,  a gymnasium, several multipurpose meeting rooms, a fitness centre, games room, table tennis area, a squash court, spin (indoor cycling) room, three indoor tennis courts, two outdoor courts, a lacrosse box, two softball diamonds, playground, picnic area, and a waterpark. Lots to be involved with.

The Minoru Seniors Society is a registered non-profit society whose purpose is to enhance the quality of life for older adults in Richmond through the provision of ongoing recreation opportunities and services. Their vision statement is “We improve the quality of life for seniors”.

Richmond Seniors Advisory Committee (RSAC) – http://www.richmond.ca/parksrec/seniors/SeniorsAdvisory.htm

Formerly known as the Richmond Seniors Advisory Council, this committee considers and evaluates issues referred to it by City Council, City staff and members of the community. The Committee also initiates studies on matters deemed to be of concern to seniors and submits information, options and recommendations to City Council as necessary and requested.

The Seniors Come Share Society was started in 1977 as a small group of community members who saw an opportunity to support neighbours and friends struggling to get the support and access to information they needed. Today, they strive to be the centre of excellence in helping seniors maintain their independence.
